AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, REJECTING ANY AND ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR LAB TESTING
SERVICES FOR THE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANTS RECEIVED
ON MARCH 26, 2026; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown did advertise for bids for Lab Testing
Services for the Waste Water Treatment Plants, which were received on March 26, 2026, at 2:00
P.M.; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the bids would be
publicly opened and read aloud was published pursuant to provisions of Texas Local Government
Code Annotated § 252.041; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read in the Council Chamber at City Hall
at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, as per published notice to bidders; and
WHEREAS, the City staff recommends any and all bids be rejected due to the fact that the
bids received were not best value to the City and(ii)the contract will be rebid at a later date; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby rejects any and all
bids, which were received on March 26, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. for Lab Testing Services for the Waste
Water Treatment Plant.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the
City of Baytown this the 14`h day of May, 2026.
