A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A REQUEST FOR FUNDING
SUPPORT TO THE HOUSTON SHIP CHANNEL SECURITY DISCTRICT ON
BEHALF OF THE BAYTOWN POLICE DEPART IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO AND
NO/100 DOLLARS ($125,452.00) FOR TRUCK, TRAILER, RESPONSE BOAT, AND
COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT FOR THE DIVE RESPONSE TEAM;
DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE
REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY
RESULT THEREFROM;AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to submit a
request for funding support to the Houston Ship Channel Security District on behalf of the Baytown Police
Department in an amount not to exceed ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($125,452.00), for a quarter ton truck with trailer,
response boat, and communications equipment for the DIVE response team.
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all
purposes under the grants and funding support programs.
Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award
that may result from the above applications and requests for funding support.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Cuncil of the City of
Baytown this the 23rd day of April, 2026.
