AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF TWO HUNDRED FORTY-TWO THOUSAND
THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-FIVE AND 56/100 DOLLARS ($242,385.56) TO
VECTOR CONTROLS, LLC, THROUGH THE INTERLOCAL PURCHASING
SYSTEM ("TIPS"), FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A BLOWER
AND ABOVE -GROUND AIR PIPE FOR THE CENTRAL DISTRICT WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown is a member of The Interlocal Purchasing
System, which authorizes such system to take bids for certain items and for the City of Baytown to make
purchases based upon bids received; and
WHEREAS, The Interlocal Purchasing System has taken bids for the purchase and installation
services for a blower and above -ground air pipe for the Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby authorizes the
payment of TWO HUNDRED FORTY-TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-FIVE AND
56/100 DOLLARS ($242,385.56) to Vector Controls, LLC, through The Interlocal Purchasing System,
for the for the purchase and installation services for a blower and above -ground air pipe for the Central
District Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated
§252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a
decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less,
provided that the original contract price specified in Section 1 may not be increased by more than twenty-
five percent (25%) or decreased by more than twenty-five percent (25%) without the consent of the
contractor to such decrease.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
