A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE CITY OF BAYTOWN'S REPRESENTATIVE AND
ALTERNATE TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE HOUSTON-
GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR 2026; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby designates Council Member
Laura Alvarado as the City of Baytown's representative to the General Assembly of the Houston -
Galveston Area Council for the year 2026 and to the Board of Directors of the Houston -Galveston
Area Council for the year 2026.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby designates Mayor Charles
Johnson as the City of Baytown's alternate representative to the General Assembly of the Houston -
Galveston Area Council for the year 2026 and to the Board of Directors of the Houston -Galveston
Area Council for the year 2026.
Section 3: The terms of these representatives shall be concurrent with their terms as
members of the City Council.
Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Executive Director of the Houston -
Galveston Area Council of the City's representatives named hereinabove.
Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
