AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO CORVEL CORPORATION AS THE THIRD-PARTY
ADMINISTRATOR (TPA) OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN'S WORKERS'
COMPENSATION CLAIMS IN AN AMOUNT NO TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED
TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($429,000.00) FOR YEAR
TWO OF A THREE-YEAR TPA CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
AGREEMENT; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment not to exceed
FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($429,000.00) to CorVel
Corporation as Third-Party Administrator (TPA) of the City of Baytown's Workers' Compensation Claims, to
manage workers' compensation claims for employee injuries under the City's self-funded worker's compensation
program, for the second year of the contract from October 1,2025 through September 30,2026.
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order
involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or
less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent (25%) or
decreased by more than twenty-five percent(25%)without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council
of the City of Baytown.
