AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AMENDING CHAPTER 86 "SOLID WASTE," ARTICLE II "RESIDENTIAL SOLID
WASTE," DIVISION 4 `BAYTOWN GREEN CENTER," SECTION 86-104
`BAYTOWN GREEN CENTER,"SUBSECTION(B)"DEFINITIONS,"OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS; CONTAINING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE;AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That Chapter 86 "Solid Waste," Article II "Residential Solid Waste," Division 4
"Baytown Green Center," Section 86-104 "Baytown Green Center," Subsection (b) "Definitions" of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Baytown,Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
CHAPTER 86. SOLID WASTE
ARTICLE II. RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE
DIVISION 4.—BAYTOWN GREEN CENTER
Sec. 86-104.Baytown Green Center.
(b) Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section,
shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context
clearly indicates a different meaning:
Baytown Green Center shall mean the facility designed to provide assistance for Baytown residents
with disposal of eligible debris and recyclable materials located at 1601 W. Main Street, Baytown,Texas.
Eligible debris means debris not picked up under the routine garbage, heavy trash or brush
collection and includes furniture, equipment, shipping boxes, other bulky items, building materials and
other material as determined by the city manager. Such term excludes the following:
(1) Composition shingles;
(2) Motor oil/oil filters;
(3) Tires/batteries;
(4) Paint;
(5) Brick/concrete masonry or dirt;
(6) Any appliances with Freon; and
(7) Any E-waste,including televisions,computer monitors,lap top computers,VCRs,printers,
fax machines, copiers).
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance
are hereby repealed; provided,however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency;
and in all other respects, this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing
the subject matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provision, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any
reason be held unconstitutional,void or invalid,such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining
provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or set of circumstances;and to this end,all
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by
the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this
ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10)
days after passage of this ordinance.
