A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE AN APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE
OF THE GOVERNOR, PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE'S HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT
DIVISION, IN RESPONSE TO THE FY2025 URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE -
REGULAR PROJECTS (UASI-R) SOLICITATION CONCERNING GRANT #49006-03 ON
BEHALF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT'S EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIVISION TO
SUSTAIN THE STRUCTURAL COLLAPSE-TECHNICAL RESCUE TEAM, IN THE
AMOUNT OF FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NO 100 DOLLARS ($5,400.00);
AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT
AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make an application
to the Office of the Governor,Public Safety Office's Homeland Security Grant Division,in response to the FY2025
Urban Area Security Initiative-Regular Projects(UASI-R)solicitation concerning Grant n49006-03 on behalf of
the Fire Department's Emergency Management Division to sustain the Structural Collapse-Technical Rescue
Team, in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NO. 100 DOLLARS ($5,400.00);
Section 2: That it is in the best interest of the citizens of the city of Baytown that the City make these
purchases on behalf of the Fire Department's Emergency Management Division to sustain the Structural Collapse-
Technical Rescue Team operations in the 2026 fiscal year.
Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes
under the grant.
Section 4: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any
grant award that may result from the above application.
Section 5: That in the event of loss or misuse of the grant funds, the City Council of the City of
Baytown hereby assures the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas that such grant funds will be returned in
full.
Section 6: There is no local match required for this project
Section 7: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council
of the City of Baytown.
