A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN FIRE
CONTROL, PREVENTION, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DISTRICT
APPROVING THE PAYMENT TO FARRWEST THROUGH THE PURCHASING
COOPERATIVE BUYBOAR❑ PROGRAM, CONTRACT #703-23 FROM THE
BAYTOWN FIRE CONTROL, PREVENTION, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICES DISTRICT'S FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 BUDGET FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A 2025 CAN-AM UTILITY TASK VEHICLE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN
THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY AND 18/100
DOLLARS ($65,850.18); MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown is a member of the cooperative purchasing program established
under Sections 271.082 and 271.083 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative's BuyBoard Program is such a
program, allowing municipalities to purchase products and:or services in an efficient, cost effective, and
competitive procurement method; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown, in making a purchase under a state contract through such
cooperative purchasing program, satisfies state law requiring municipalities to seek competitive bids for
the purchase of the item;
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent of the City of Baytown is the Purchasing agent of the Baytown
Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District pursuant to Section 344.156(c) of the
Texas Local Government Code; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BAYTOWN FIRE CONTROL, PREVENTION, AND
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DISTRICT:
Section 1: The Board of Directors of the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency
Medical Services District hereby approves the payment to FarrWest through the purchasing cooperative
BuyBoard Program, Contract #703-23, from the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency
Medical Services District's Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget for the purchase of a 2025 CAN-AM Utility
Task Vehicle for the Fire Department in the amount of SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT
HUNDRED FIFTY AND 18/100 DOLLARS ($65,850.18).
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the Board
of Directors of the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the Board of Directors of the
Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District this the 19th day of March,
2025.
