CC Resolution No. 2986 RESOLUTION NO. 2986 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) FOR THE HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM (HMGP) IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTEEN MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND N0100 DOLLARS ($16,500,000.00) FOR THE TEXAS AVENUE LIFT STATION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; AUTHORIZING A CASH MATCH BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN IN THE CUMULATIVE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO100 DOLLARS ($3,200,000.00); DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ************************************************************************************* BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA)for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program(HMGP)in an amount not to exceed SIXTEEN MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO 100 DOLLARS ($16,500,000.00), for the Texas Avenue Lift Station Improvements Project. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a cash match in an amount not to exceed THREE MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO:100 DOLLARS ($3,200,000.00) in accordance with the requirements authorized in Section 1. Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under the grants. Section 4: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from the above applications. Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
