A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
SUSPENDING PARAGRAPHS 1-4, AND 6 OF EXHIBIT "A," PROCEDURAL
GUIDELINES FOR THE SELECTION OF THE MAYOR PRO TEM CITY OF
BAYTOWN,TEXAS,TO RESOLUTION NO. 2145; SELECTING THE MAYOR PRO
TEM OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas hereby suspends Paragraphs
l-4,and 6 of Exhibit"A,"Procedural Guidelines for the Selection of the Mayor Pro Tern City of Baytown,
Texas,to Resolution No. 2145.
Section 2: That Jacob Powell is selected Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Baytown,Texas from
the date of this Resolution until a meeting of the City Council of the City of Baytown in January 2026.
Section 3: All resolutioiisorpartsofresolutions inconsistent withthetermsof this resolution are
hereby repealed;provided,however,that suchrepeal shall be only to the extent ofsuch inconsistency and inall
other respects this resolution shall be cumulative of other resolutions regulating and governing the subject
matter covered by this resolution.
Section 4: Any provision,section,exception,subsection,paragraph,sentence,clause or phrase
ofthis resolution orthe application ofsame to any person orthe set ofcircumstances,shall forany reasonbe held
unconstitutional,void or invalid,such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this
resolution or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this
resolution are declared to be severable
Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
