A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
APPOINTING RHONDA LOPEZ, JESS COTTAR, JERRY SHAFER AND ELLEN
THORNBURG TO THE LIBRARY BOARD; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, Chapter 54 of the City of Baytown Code of Ordinances provides for the appointment
of Board Members to the Library Board; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas hereby appoints four (4)
members to the Library Board as follows:
A. RHONDA LOPEZ is appointed to serve as a Member of the Library Board with a term
expiring on February 28, 2027;
B. JESS COTTAR is appointed to serve as a Member of the Library Board with a term
expiring on February 28, 2027;
C. JERRY SHAFER is appointed to serve as a Member of the Library Board with a term
expiring on February 28, 2027; and
D. ELLEN THORNBURG is appointed to serve as a Member of the Library Board with a
term expiring on February 28, 2027.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
