CC Resolution No. 2966 RESOLUTION NO. 2966 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2961 AND DESIGNATING THE CITY OF BAYTOWN'S REPRESENTATIVES AND ALTERNATES TO THE TRANSPORTATION POLICY COUNCIL AND THE TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR 2025; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ********************************************************************************* WHEREAS, through Resolution No. 2961 adopted on December 12, 2024 the City Council designated Mayor Brandon Capetillo as the City of Baytown's representative to the Transportation Policy Council of the Houston-Galveston Area Council for the year 2025; WHEREAS, the City of Baytown on December 14, 2024 held a run-off election for the Mayor of the City; WHEREAS, on December 23, 2024 the City Council of the City of Baytown confirmed Charles Johnson as the Mayor; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby amends Resolution No. 2961 and designates Jacob Powell as the City of Baytown's representative to the Transportation Policy Council of the Houston-Galveston Area Council for the year 2025. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby designates City Manager Jason Reynolds as the City of Baytown's alternate representative to the Transportation Policy Council of the Houston-Galveston Area Council for the year 2025. Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby designates Assistant City Manager Brant Gary as the City of Baytown's representative to the Transportation Advisory Committee of the Houston-Galveston Area Council for the year 2025. Section 4: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby designates Planning and Development Services Director Martin Scribner as the City of Baytown's alternate representative to the Transportation Advisory Committee of the Houston-Galveston Area Council for the year 2025. Section 5: The term of these representatives shall be concurrent with their terms as members of the City Council. Section 6: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
