Ordinance No. 16,037 ORDINANCE NO. 16,037 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT IN AN AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO AND 45: 100 DOLLARS ($2,274,662.45) TO RENEW THE TEXAS MATERIALS GROUP, INC. DBA GULF COAST, A CRH COMPANY CONTRACT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2025, ASPHALT MILL & OVERLAY PROGRAM FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ****************************************************************************** BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment in an amount of TWO MILLION TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO AND 45. 100 DOLLARS($2,274,662.45)to renew the Texas Materials Group, Inc. dba Gulf Coast, a CRH Company ("Gulf Coast") contract for the Fiscal Year 2025, Asphalt Mill & Overlay Program for the Public Works and Engineering Department, originally authorized by Ordinance No. 15,274 of the City Council of the City of Baytown. Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO`100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent(250 0)or decreased by more than twenty-five percent(25°o)without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
