AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING, SUBJECT TO THE RECEIPT OF FUNDING FROM THE
BAYTOWN FIRE CONTROL, PREVENTION, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICES DISTRICT, THE PAYMENT OF THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-NINE
THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE AND NOA00 DOLLARS
($379,425.00) TO STERLING MCCALL FORD, THROUGH THE
HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL,FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE(1)2025
FORD F-450 4X2 REGULAR CAB CHASSIS AND FRAZER TYPE I 14'
AMBULANCE MODULE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER
PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown has approved an Interlocal Agreement which
authorizes the Houston-Galveston Area Council to take bids for certain items on behalf of the City of
Baytown; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreement, the Houston-Galveston Area Council has taken bids for
one (1) 2025 Ford F-450 4x2 Regular Cab Chassis and Frazer Type I 14' Ambulance module for the Fire
Department; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That, subject to the receipt of funding from the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention,
and Emergency Medical Services District, the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the
payment of THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-
FIVE AND N0100 DOLLARS ($379,425.00) to Sterling McCall Ford, through the
Houston-Galveston Area Council for the purchase of one (1) 2025 Ford F-450 4x2 Regular Cab Chassis
and Frazer Type 114' Ambulance module for the Fire Department.
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated
§252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a
decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO 100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less,
provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent (25%) or
decreased by more than twenty-five percent(251 o) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
