AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE ANNUAL SANITARY SEWER
REHABILITATION PROJECT WITH TEXAS PRIDE UTILITIES, LLC IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED TWO -HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000.00); AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council does hereby authorize Change Order No. I to the Annual
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project with Texas Pride Utilities, LLC in an amount not to exceed TWO -
HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000.00). A copy of said change order is attached hereto,
marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
Baytown this the 141h day of March, 2024.

This change order encompasses the following:
Work item fl l : City staff discovered a sanitary sewer cave-in in the rear easement of Blackstone St. in the
Eastpoint Subdivision. Due to the depth of the sanitary sewer mainline staff anticipates the need for assistance of
a contractor experienced with these types of repairs. Continued failure of the sanitary sewer mainline would cause
further back-up in the mainline affecting 52 properties. The repairs Include replacing the section of the sanitary
sewer mainline that is compromised, replacing and limiting service interruptions to affected residents.
Restoration work will follow and also be included in the cost.
Work Item #2 and #3 In preparation for a system be in at Goose Creek liftslation City staff was made aware of a
leak on the goose creek lift station. In addition a large segment of the forcemain failed causing a replacement of
40 additional feet of forcemain Contractor will repair leaking segments and replace the larger failed segment with
new pipe and fittings
