CC Resolution No. 2885 RESOLUTION NO. 2885 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, DISSOLVING THE ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE; THE BATTLESHIP STEERING COMMITTEE; THE BUIILDING ORDINANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE; THE MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGES COMMITTEE; THE GOLF AD HOC COMMITTEE; THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AGREEMENT COMMITTEE; THE LEGISLATIVE AD HOC COMMITTEE; THE AD HOC COMMITTEE FOR PATIENTS AT SAN JACINTO METHODIST HOSPITAL; AND THE INDUSTRIAL APPRAISAL REVIEW BOARD; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ************************************************************************************* WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Architectural Committee as an ad hoc Council committee on July 22, 1993, pursuant to the minutes of the regular session dated July 22, 1993; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Battleship Steering Committee as an ad hoc Council committee on November 18, 2019, pursuant to the minutes of the regular session dated November 18,2019; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Building Ordinance Review Committee as an ad hoc Council committee on September 28,2000, pursuant to the minutes of the regular session dated September 28, 2000; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Municipal Court Judges Committee as an ad hoc Council committee on July 25,2002,pursuant to the minutes of the regular session dated July 25, 2002; WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Golf Ad Hoc Committee on June 24, 1993, pursuant to the minutes of the regular session dated June 24, 1993; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Industrial District Agreement Committee as an ad hoc Council committee on July 25,2002,pursuant to the minutes of the regular session dated July 25, 2002; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Legislative Ad Hoc Committee on January 12, 2023,pursuant to the minutes of the regular session dated January 12, 2023; WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Ad Hoc Committee for Patients at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital on October 9, 2023, pursuant to the minutes of the work session dated October 9, 2023; WHEREAS,the City created the Industrial Appraisal Review Board; and WHEREAS,the aforementioned boards and commissions are no longer active within the City; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1: That the Architectural Committee;The Battleship Steering Committee;The Building Ordinance Review Committee;The Municipal Court Judges Committee; the Golf Ad Hoc Committee; the Industrial District Agreement Committee; The Legislative Ad Hoc Committee; the Ad Hoc committee for Patients at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital;and the Industrial Appraisal Review Board be hereby dissolved. Section 2: All resolutions or ordinances or parts of resolutions or ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this resolution are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency, and in all other respects, this resolution shall be cumulative of other resolutions and ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this resolution. Section 3: If any provision, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this resolution or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void, or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this resolution or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances; and to this end, all provisions of this resolution are declared to be severable. Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
