The regular meeting of the Board of the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency
Medical Services District (FCPEMSD) met on January 22, 2008 at 4:00 p.m., in the Council
Chamber of the City of Baytown with the following in attendance:

Call to Order
The meeting was opened by President Sain with a quorum present at 4:00 p.m.
MINUTES
Consider the approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of the Baytown
Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District held on October 23,
2007.
Board Member Watts moved to approve the minutes as presented. Board Member Smith
seconded the motion. The vote follows:
Ayes: Board Members Desormeaux, Adkins, McKay, Wurzbach, Smith and Watts
Nays: None
The motion carried.

Report for the quarter ending December 31 2007 is submitted for review in accordance with the
eP q g ,
Public Funds Investment Act Section 2256-023 (a) and(b).
For the Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District Fund, investment
interest revenue totals $9,444,which is greater than the expected budget. The District's funds are
maintained in a local government investment pool. The average monthly interest rate ranges
between 4.56%to 4.93%.
Report on Fire Training Facility
Chief Shon Blake gave a report on the purchase of the land for the fire training facility. Maurice
Watts provided input on the sale of the land from ExxonMobil's perspective.
MANAGER'S REPORT
Revenue and Expense Report
For the fiscal year 2007-08, the District had received $278,748 in sales tax revenues and $9,444
in interest earnings. The sales tax revenues to date are 7% more than the previous year to date.
Fore the current fiscal year, the District had spent$469,172 including encumbrances.
Set date,time and place for the next meeting
The board discussed the next meeting place, date and time and agreed to meet on Tuesday, April
22, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in the Baytown City Hall, Council Chamber.

Board Member Watts moved to adjourn the meeting. Board Member Wurzbach seconded the
motion. The vote follows:
