Ordinance No. 15,710 ORDINANCE NO. 15,710 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, DISSOLVING THE BAYTOWN AIR AND WATER CONSERVATION BOARD; THE BAYTOWN COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE BOARD; THE BAYTOWN LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ADVISORY BOARD; AND THE BAYTOWN MUSEUM ADVISORY BOARD; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ************************************************************************************* WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Baytown Air and Water Conservation Board on January 27, 1966 via City of Baytown Ordinance Number 772; WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Baytown Community Assistance Board on October 9, 1969 via City of Baytown Ordinance Number 992; WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Local Law Enforcement Advisory Board on December 12, 1996 via City of Baytown Ordinance Number 7861; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown created the Baytown Museum Advisory Board on March 25, 1971 via City of Baytown Ordinance Number 1084; and WHEREAS, the aforementioned boards and committees are no longer active within the City. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1: That the Baytown Air and Water Conservation Board, the Baytown Community Assistance Board,the Local Law Enforcement Advisory Board,and the Baytown Museum Advisory Board be hereby DISSOLVED. Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency, and in all other respects, this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. Section 3: If any provision, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void, or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances; and to this end, all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
