AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO UNITED HEALTHCARE OF TEXAS, INC., AS THE
ADMINISTRATOR OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN'S MEDICAL AND
PHARMACEUTICAL CLAIMS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO
HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND AND NOi 100 DOLLARS ($240,000.00);
AUTHORIZING YEAR TWO OF A THREE-YEAR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF BAYTOWN AND UNITEDHEALTHCARE OF TEXAS, INC. COVERING
THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 1,2024-DECEMBER 31,2024; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby authorizes payment
to United HealthCare of Texas, Inc. ("UHC"), as the administrator of the City of Baytown's medical and
pharmaceutical claims,in an amount not to exceed TWO HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND AND NO."100
DOLLARS ($240,000.00).
Section 2: That the City Council hereby authorizes Year Two of the three year agreement
between the City and UHC covering the period of January 1, 2024-December 31, 2024
Section 3: That for the administrative services, the City Manager is hereby granted general
authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND
AND NO.1100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less; however, the original contract price may not be increased
by more than twenty-five percent(25%) or decreased by more than twenty-five percent(25%')without the
consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
