Ordinance No. 15,493 ORDINANCE NO. 15,493 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR TWO HOUSING RECONSTRUCTION PROJECTS LOCATED AT 221 GRAHAM STREET AND 711 DENBY STREET TO VILLARREAL YCIA BUILDERS, FOR THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($222,460.00); AUTHORIZING PAYMENT THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the City of Baytown did advertise for bids for two housing reconstruction projects located at 221 Graham Street and 711 Denby Street to be received May 26, 2023; and WHEREAS, notice to all bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:10 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2023, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Villarreal YCIA Builders, for the sum of TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($222,460.00) for the following projects under the CDBG Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program and authorizes payment thereof upon final completion and acceptance of the work by the owner and the City: Re- Fence, Address Year Old Proposed Est. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
