A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA
WATER AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE BAWA
CHLORINATOR PROJECT WITH ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS, INC.; IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY-SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED THIRTY
AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($46,930.00); MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED
THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER
AUTHORITY:
Section 1: That the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority hereby accepts the
bid of Environmental Improvements, Inc., for the BAWA Chlorinator Project, according to the plans and
specifications set forth by BAWA's Engineer in an amount not to exceed FORTY-SIX THOUSAND NINE
HUNDRED THIRTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($46,930.00); and authorizes payment thereof, and the
General Manager and the Interim Assistant Secretary of the Baytown Area Water Authority are hereby
authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with Environmental Improvements, Inc., for the
above -described work, said contract containing the plans, specifications, and requirements of the BAWA's
Engineer and appropriate bond requirements in accordance with the provisions of Texas Government Code,
Chapter 2253.
Section 2: That the General Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change
order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/100
DOLLARS ($25,000.00) or less; however, the aggregate of the change orders may not increase the original
contract price by more than ten percent (10%).
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the Board
of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the Board of Directors of the
Baytown Area Water Authority this the 21' day of September, 2005.
