Resolution - Declining Participation in Expansion Project• A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER AUTHORITY DECLINING THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE WITH THE COASTAL WATER AUTHORITY IN THE INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL POWER SUPPLY AND A STANDBY GENERATOR AT THE TRINITY RIVER PUMP STATION; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ************************************************************************************* WHEREAS, the Coastal Water Authority plans to expand the Trinity River Pump Station, which is currently served by one power source from the east; and WHEREAS, the expansion of the pump station calls for a secondary power supply source from the west and the installation of a standby generator capable of operating a full size pump; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the proposed expansion is ONE MILLION ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,100,000); and WHEREAS, the Authority proposes to allocate the cost of the expansion to the users along the CWA Main Canal and the Cedar Point Lateral Canal; and WHEREAS, the projected cost for the Baytown Area Water Authority is THREE HUNDRED NINETY-NINE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED NINETY-THREE AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($399,293.00); and WHEREAS, the Baytown Area Water Authority does not desire to participate in the expansion project; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER AUTHORITY: Section 1: That the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority hereby declines the opportunity to participate with the Coastal Water Authority in the installation of additional power supply and a standby generator at the Trinity River Pump Station. Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority.
