AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS,
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 15,292 WHICH AUTHORIZED THE SALE OF
APPROXIMATELY 0.1148 ACRES, OR 5,000 SQUARE FEET OF LAND BEING
RESERVE TRACT C 1, BLOCK 5, FAIR PARK EXEMPT, SITUATED IN THE
HARVEY WHITING SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 840, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS,
TO HARVEY WINDHAM; AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF APPROXIMATELY
0.1148 ACRES, OR 5,000 SQUARE FEET OF LAND BEING RESERVE TRACT C 1,
BLOCK 5,FAIR PARK EXEMPT,SITUATED IN THE HARVEY WHITING SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO. 840, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS TO AFZAL SHEKHANI; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, the City of Baytown advertised to accept offers for the sale of property located along
the north line of the frontage road of SH 146,approximately 142.7 feet east of North Main Street,Baytown,
Harris County, Texas, consisting of 0.1148 acres, or 5,000 square feet of land being Reserve Tract C 1,
Block 5, Fair Park Exempt, situated in the Harvey Whiting Survey, Abstract No. 840 (the"Property"), to
be received on October 20, 2022; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the offers would be
accepted was published pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 272 of the Texas Local Government Code;
and
WHEREAS,all bids were opened and publicly read in the City Hall of the City of Baytown at 2:00
p.m., on October 20, 2022, for the described property as per published notice to bidders; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15,292 authorized the sale of the Property to Harvey Windham; and
WHEREAS, Harvey Windham is not the buyer's name; and
WHEREAS, the buyer's name is actually Afzal Shekhani; and
WHEREAS, contingent upon the receipt of TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED
AND NO.'100 DOLLARS ($25,100.00), the City is willing to sell the Property to Afzal Shekhani; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby awards the sale of
approximately 0.1148 acres, or 5,000 square feet of land by Quitclaim Deed out of the Harvey Whiting
Survey, Abstract No. 840, Harris County, Texas, to Afzal Shekhani for TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND
ONE HUNDRED AND NO'100 DOLLARS ($25,100.00). The Quitclaim Deed is attached hereto as
Exhibit"A," which is incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.

valuable consideration paid by the TRANSFEREE herein named, the receipt and sufficiency of
which are hereby acknowledged and confessed, QUITCLAIMS, TRANSFERS, AND ASSIGNS
to AFZAL SHEKHANI, as TRANSFEREE, all TRANSFEROR's right, title, and interest in and
to the property described as:
Approximately 0.1148 acre or 5,000 square feet of land being Reserve C, Fair Park
Addition Section 1,a subdivision map;plat recorded in File Number 1059581,Page
1, Volume 040048 of Harris County Clerk Map and Condo Records.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all of TRANSFEROR's right, title, and interest in and to the
property herein transferred, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances belonging
in any way to TRANSFEROR, by TRANSFEREE and TRANSFEREE's successors and assigns
forever.Neither TRANSFEROR nor TRANSFEROR's successors or assigns shall have, claim, or
demand any right, title, or interest in all or any part of the Property.
