Ordinance No. 15,282 ORDINANCE NO. 15,282 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($100,000.00) TO POLYDYNE, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF CATIONIC POLYMER FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS, THROUGH A COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ************************************************************************************* WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown has approved an Interlocal Agreement for cooperative purchasing with the City of Fort Worth;and WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreement, the City may make purchases based upon the bids received by the City of Fort Worth;and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has taken bids for the purchase of cationic polymer for the wastewater treatment plants;NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO,100 DOLLARS ($100,000.00)to Polydyne, Inc., for the purchase of cationic polymer for the wastewater treatment plants,through a cooperative purchasing agreement with the City of Fort Worth. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated §252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO'100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price specified in Section 1 hereof may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent(251.b)or decreased by more than twenty-five percent(25%)without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
