A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE
HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL FOR THE FY2014 U.S. DEPARTMENT
OF HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM (HSGP) ON BEHALF OF THE
BAYTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVENTY-FIVE
THOUSAND AND NOA 00 DOLLARS ($75,000.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOUR
(4) LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION SYSTEMS; AUTHORIZING THE
REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY
RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make
application to the Houston -Galveston Area Council for the FY2014 U.S. Department of Homeland
Security Grant Program (HSGP) on behalf of the Baytown Police Department in the amount of
SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND AND NOi 100 DOLLARS ($75,000.00) for the purchase of four (4)
license plate recognition systems.
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for
all purposes under the grant.
Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or
affirm any grant award that may result from the above application.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately
